Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our dogs are well socialised, raised in a family environment. They are raised with cats and exposed to many other dogs, once fully vaccinated, as I am a groomer. My dogs often "supervise" visiting customers, so that they are confident and friendly around other breeds.
Health
Our girls are always vet checked pre-mating, undergoing progesterone tests, ultrasounds and xrays during pregnancy, and immediately after puppies are born/ They are vet checked for cleft palettes etc. Parents and babies are DNA tested for known breed specific genetic factors.
Home environment
Your puppy is guaranteed to be confident, outgoing, and given the best start in life to ensure longevity and happiness.
Included with our puppies
Puppy will be: Orivet DNA tested, breed specific ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Wormed from 2weeks, fortnightly ✔️ Dietary recommendation ✔️ Your healthy puppy will leave for its furever home with a puppy pack which will usually consist of a blankie that smells like mum and its siblings, toys, grooming items, and a starter food pack.
Health Tests
Core Tests(0/1)
SpoiltCavs Cavalier King Charles Spaniels conducts 0 out of 1 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Additional Tests
SpoiltCavs Cavalier King Charles Spaniels conducts 4 additional tests available for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Genetic Test
Congenital Macrothrombocytopenia (CM) is a mild disease which normally does not have any impact on an affected dog’s health or lifespan but can cause concern if noticed on routine bloodwork without knowing the cause. It is a blood disease resulting in low numbers of very large platelets. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Curly Coat Dry Eye Syndrome is a genetic cause of eye and skin problems in Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies. The disease also caused an unsually tight curly coat texture. There is a DNA test available to identify if breeding Cavaliers are carrying the gene for Curly Coat Dry Eye Syndrome.
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
This is a genetic neurological condition affecting Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. It causes sudden stiffening of the legs, often causing the dog to fall over and be unable to move. There is a DNA test available to indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease. The test is also recommended in Cavoodles.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I never do things in halves, I am committed all the way. I like to perfect everything that I do and my dogs are no exception. They are my family and I take care of everyone of them and their needs. My girls are part of the family and are much loved, sleeping indoors and come to my workplace faily. I love and…
Why we got involved in breeding
I was raised with dogs and when I was 18yrs old I bought my first show Basset Hound. The more I got involved, the more I wanted to explore and improve the breed so my breeding program began.
Our special touch
My special touch is relating to the pet owner. Not everyone wants a show dog, pet companions are just as important. I run a Facebook page which is specifically targeted at the pet owner to gather for meet ups and share stories and pics. @AdelaideCavalierFriendsgroup
