Eastside Schnauzers accept safe and traceable payments. What's this?
Hi, I'm Naomi B.
I am a small breeder in South Australia with plenty of experience (25 years Vet nursing & 5 years breeding). Puppies are raised indoors as part of our family and are well socialised and handled. Miniature schnauzers make the best pets due to their size, temperament and non-shedding.

Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
All our puppies are handled daily from when they are first born. They are weighed regularly to ensure they are growing at the correct rate. Whilst being handled from a young age, we get them used to having their feet touched, ears rubbed, nails trimmed, brushed and washed. We have 2 teenagers who help with the…
Health
All parents have complete orivet DNA testing done to ensure they are clear of any genetic defects. Puppies are wormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age. At 6 weeks they have a Vet check, vaccination and Australia wide microchipping.
Home environment
They are raised indoors (in our main living area) where they hear the day to day running of the house- tv, vacuum and a busy household. When they get older they do have outdoor playtime on the lawn.
Included with our puppies
All puppies are sent to their new homes with a puppy pack. This includes the following: - Vaccination certificate. - Microchipping paperwork. - Comprehensive puppy information sheet with routines, feeding information & everything new owners need to help make the transition as easy as possible. - Puppy blanket…

Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a heart disease causing an enlarged heart with stretched heart muscle. Affected dogs are high risk of developing life-threatening heart failure as the abnormal heart cannot beat as effectively. There is a genetic test in some breeds to show if a breeding dog is predisposed to DCM.
Genetic Test
This is a genetic disease that affects a variety of breeds. It causes a blood clotting problem resulting in excessive bleeding. There is a DNA test available to ensure a breeding dog will not pass this condition on their puppies.
Genetic Test
Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome (MDS) is a condition where a male animal, with normal male genitalia, also possesses a uterus and fallopian tubes. This is caused by an error in development of the reproductive tract in early embryonic development. The condition is often discovered by accident during abdominal surgery. There is a DNA test available to identify if a dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Myotonia Hereditaria/Congenita is a genetic disease that causes muscle problems resulting in a stiff gait and difficulty swallowing. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Spondylocostal Dysostosis (SD, or ‘Comma Defect’), is a genetic growth disorder causing spinal and rib malformations. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

I am very blessed to share my life with our 3 beautiful schnauzers (Addie, Piper & Frankie). I also have a husband & 3 children, 2 of whom still live at home. When I am not raising puppies, I am working as a Vet nurse which is where my passion for animals began. I got my first miniature schnauzer in 2007 and knew…
