Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
We raise our puppies inside in our family room and outside in a good size backyard. We aim to socialise our puppies with our other dogs as well as with our family, and ensure the puppies are exposed to regular household noises like TVs, music, vacuum cleaner, etc. We give our puppies their first swimming lessons in…
Health
We have DNA tested our breeding dogs (with Orivet), and our Golden Retrievers are hip and elbow scored. Our puppies are: - Vet checked - Microchipped - Vaccinated - Administered worming every 2 weeks
Home environment
Our children and our friends' children love to play with our puppies. We teach them how to carry a puppy and when to leave a puppy for a rest.
Included with our puppies
All puppies will be sent to the new homes with a simple but valuable puppy pack and a lot of love. Puppies will be microchipped and vaccinated. Regular every 2 weeks worming will be provided. Before you bring your puppy home, we will send you a 50 page bulletin on how to raise a healthy puppy.

Genetic Test
Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB) is a congenital skin disease that causes fragile skin, blisters, ulceration, and skin scarring. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
This is a serious genetic skin disease that causes flaky dry skin and footpad problems. It can occur in many breeds but is fairly common in Golden Retrievers. There is a DNA test to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease and could pass it on to their puppies.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.
Genetic Test
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration of the retina and eventually, blindness. There are a variety of sub-types of PRA, which can occur in various breeds. There are various DNA tests available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
