Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Pups and parents live in my home and are handled daily with regular visits of different people to get used to others. Over the 8 weeks sleep, they in a few areas and are exposed to many textures, noises and activities to make them confident little beings.
Health
Any dogs I plan to breed with are given comprehensive vet exam and DNA breed profile and DNA testing to help protect against health issues.
Home environment
Pups and parents live in my home and all go with full doggy door use confidence. A home visit weekend by all purchasers is strongly encouraged at 6 weeks old to meet myself, parents and pups.
Included with our puppies
Pups come with the confidence of full breeder support both before and after they go home. Information on diet, grooming, training and any other questions are happily discussed as we go along.

Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a heart disease causing an enlarged heart with stretched heart muscle. Affected dogs are high risk of developing life-threatening heart failure as the abnormal heart cannot beat as effectively. There is a genetic test in some breeds to show if a breeding dog is predisposed to DCM.
Genetic Test
This is a genetic disease that affects a variety of breeds. It causes a blood clotting problem resulting in excessive bleeding. There is a DNA test available to ensure a breeding dog will not pass this condition on their puppies.
Genetic Test
Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome (MDS) is a condition where a male animal, with normal male genitalia, also possesses a uterus and fallopian tubes. This is caused by an error in development of the reproductive tract in early embryonic development. The condition is often discovered by accident during abdominal surgery. There is a DNA test available to identify if a dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Myotonia Hereditaria/Congenita is a genetic disease that causes muscle problems resulting in a stiff gait and difficulty swallowing. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
