Behaviour and socialisation
Hazel and George have been socialised with people, cats and other dogs from a very young age. I would take Hazel to work with me for the first few months and still take them both to see friends and family very regularly. Hazel and George interact very well with new dogs; big, small, young and old. Typical of…
Health
Hazel and George have always been in great health, bar a few run-ins with bees, where she came off second best, George is in perfect health. They leads a very active lifestyle and loves going for runs with our working dogs through our paddocks. They are up to date with all their vaccinations and are wormed very…
Home environment
Hazel and George is the main characters in our home. My husband and I live out on my family's property, along with 3 kelpies, 2 cats and some poultry. Hazel and George are home most days with the cats and has access to a big, snake-proof yard. If they're not there, they are in town at my parents house living in…
Included with our puppies
Puppies will be fully vaccinated to 8 weeks requirements, wormed every 2 weeks and microchipped. Puppy packs will be provided with each puppy, but specific items included are yet to be determined.

Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.
Genetic Test
Sarcoglycan Deficient Muscular Dystrophy (SDMD) is a genetic disease causing a stiff gait, exercise intolerance and difficulty swallowing in young Miniature Dachshunds. There is now a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I (Leila) took in Hazel towards the end of 2020 to be my sidekick and to take with me wherever the wind led me. When I was working in the shearing industry she would come with me to work and loved getting to meet new people and pups every day. In 2021 I secured a full-time position in my home town and went on to…
Why we got involved in breeding
I grew up around puppies, often from our working kelpies and was absolutely obsessed with every aspect of breeding. On top of this, we wanted to breed from Hazel to be able to share with others the fulfillment that she brings to us and the joy she gives every day. It seems almost selfish to keep this to ourselves.
Our special touch
Each of the beautiful bundles of joy will come with a customised puppy pack of things that the puppies will need and also some special personal items.
