Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
From days 3 to 16 it is believed to be a time of rapid neurological growth. This is why from 3 days old, our pups are exposed to Early Neurological Stimulation [ENS], desensitisation and Early Scent Introduction [ESI]. ESI is a training program for puppies designed to enhance their ability to identify, and…
Health
We undertake extensive breed specific DNA testing through Orivet, of both the Dam and Sire and include Hip and Elbow scoring. Within 12 hours of birth, our puppies visit out trusted Vet for their first health check. At 6 weeks of age, they are again Vet Health Checked, receive their C3 vaccination and are…
Home environment
We are proud to be an ethical, home-based micro breeder. This allows us to devote ourselves to our dogs and puppies. Utilising the "Badass Breeder" puppy curriculum, we respect and empower each and every puppy - ultimately giving you a healthy, well-adjusted pup to join you and your family.
Included with our puppies
When you choose a LilyBark Oodle puppy, you are choosing a puppy that is empowered and ready to join your family. You will have peace of mind knowing that it is coming from a loving family home environment where it has been given the opportunity to be a puppy. On 'Gotcha Day' your puppy leaves our home: >…

Genetic Test
Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB) is a congenital skin disease that causes fragile skin, blisters, ulceration, and skin scarring. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
This is a serious genetic skin disease that causes flaky dry skin and footpad problems. It can occur in many breeds but is fairly common in Golden Retrievers. There is a DNA test to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease and could pass it on to their puppies.
Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Neonatal Encephalopathy (NE) is a brain disease that can occur in Standard Poodle puppies. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life, well to be completely honest... I've been surrounded by a variety of animals, but dogs were always my constant. I learnt from a very young age, the power of a dog, to heal hearts and change lives. From the rescue my parents first brought home, through to the ones now…
Why we got involved in breeding
My first experience with breeding dogs was at the age of 7, I vividly remember my Chihuahua "Mimi" with her litter of pups. It was then where my interest in breeding began.
