This is a type of hypothyroidism which can occur in any breed and can be caused by many different things. It is more common in some breeds compared to others, so in these breeds it is recommended that breeding dogs have a blood test to show they have normal thyroid levels at the time of breeding.

dna iconGenetic Test

This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

stethoscope iconPhysical Test

An eye certificate means the breeder has had their breeding dogs examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist, to confirm they are not affected by any eye conditions which may be passed down genetically to their puppies. If relevant for the breed, it also includes running DNA tests to confirm the dog is not a genetic carrier of hereditary eye diseases, such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). It includes breeders who have participated in the Australian Canine Eye Scheme (ACES).

About the Breeder

A little about us

Hi, my name is Anita, and we began breeding in 2022. My daughter and I have always loved dogs and been interested in breeding, so when we got our gorgeous Gracie (Maltese) & Mimi (Bichon Frise) we decided this was our chance to experience the wonders of puppies. We also have another Bishon (Pappi) and a cat (Pebbles).

Why we got involved in breeding

My daughter and I have always loved dogs and been interested in breeding. We have embraced this experience and hope to bring more wonderful precious litters into the world to enhance someone's life.

Our special touch

We are a family environment, and our dogs are part of the family. Our puppies are precious to us and receive all the loving care we have to offer.
