Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are raised around small children (noisy household) and are well socialised. They are handled and given so much love very regularly by adults and children, younger and older. They are exposed to household noises, cars, etc and toilet training is commenced on our backyard lawn area.
Health
Our dogs are on strict monthly worm, flea and tick treatments, are up to date on their vaccinations and DNA tested with Orivet and Canine Health Check.
Home environment
The puppies grow up in a clean, loving, indoor environment inside our home. They have supervised access to our backyard lawn area when the weather is permitting and they absolutely love it. When your new puppy from @belladashies is ready to join your family, they will be wormed, microchipped, had their 1st vaccination. A puppy pack will go along with your new puppy, which includes numerous items such as food, and a blanket with mummy and litter mates scent (super important)

- Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.

Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

Why we got involved in breeding
My love for dachshunds first started when I brought Daisy into our family as a pet for my 2 year old at the time. I fell in love with her personality and cuteness, and knew I wanted to share the love of the breed with others, and produce others just like her.
Our special touch
When you purchase a puppy from me, you not only get a puppy, but also a friend for life. I absolutely love receiving updates on the puppies I've bred and I love hearing about how happy they have made people. It is the best feeling spreading love and happiness through dachshunds.
