Newborn litter
Bremel Paws Poodles accept safe and traceable payments. What's this?
Hi, I'm Mel P.
We breed with a focus on health, temperament and looks. We put our main focus on the first two, as we believe they are most important for producing pets that will be happy, healthy and around for many years. Of course looks are important too but we will never prioritise looks over health or temperament.

Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are brought up at home. They are exposed to all the normal noises of a household, handled daily and interact safely with our other dogs.
Health
To ensure we only breed the healthiest dogs we possibly can, all our breeding dogs are DNA tested through Orivet. We ensure all our breeding dogs are up-to-date with vaccinations, parasite control, grooming and dentistry all year round. All our breeding dogs get their patellas graded prior to breeding as well as at…
Home environment
After the initial few days we move them into our whelping room. We control the temperature by using an adjustable heat mat in the whelping box plus a heater in the room in the cooler weather. Mum has her own yard adjoining the whelping room with a doggy door for access. When the puppies reach four weeks of age,…

About the Breeder
A little about us
I one hundred percent have to have animals in my life in order to be happy! There's only been one time in my life where I couldn't have a pet, it was bloody miserable I tell you! Luckily there was a neighbourhood cat that sometimes visited me, that made it somewhat bearable. I've lived in quite a few different…
Why we got involved in breeding
I was managing a vet clinic and to be honest, I was burnt out. I started researching dog breeding and developed a business plan. I bought my first Cavalier and completely fell in love! I acquired a few more Cavalier girls and a toy Poodle stud. It hasn't always been smooth sailing but I wouldn't give it up for the…
Our special touch
Having my cert IV in veterinary nursing has certainly been beneficial. I'm confident in what I do and know how to care for my dogs correctly. Sometimes you have to make a judgement call in regards to getting veterinary intervention though, I'm not shy about getting my dogs help! I've saved numerous puppies by getting…
