Additional Tests
Cuuchin Corgis conducts 3 additional tests available for the Corgi (Pembroke Welsh).
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.

About the Breeder
A little about us
Hi, I'm Joyce and I run Cuuchin Corgis. I started with corgis back in the 70s where I bought a Corgi and fell in love with the breed. I met a Corgi breeder who suggested I look into showing and good hooked. I then bought a second corgi from this same breeder, my foundation bitch and that's when I began breeding…
Why we got involved in breeding
It was a natural progression that I could breed Corgis for show purposes as well as for family pets that pet owners could desire. I wanted to breed for soundness and temperament, with any additional pups going to loving homes who also cherishes the breed.
Our special touch
Breeding for soundness and temperament. Cuuchin are very proud of their past achievements, which have included winning Best in Shows, Royal wins and many, many other major wins. We have had great success with our progeny in America, Norway and Sweden. Very proud of our current youngsters, Ch. Cuuchin A Splasha…
