Hi, I'm Diane B.

I have been showing, breeding and loving Dalmatians since 1978. They have given us lots of fun in the show ring and as great companions.

Behaviour and socialisation

Our puppies are raised with love and are well handled from birth.

Health

Our aim is to produce happy healthy puppies who excel as family companions. Much thought is put into the breeding of each litter. The pups are regularly wormed, Vet checked & vaccinated at 6 weeks of age and BAER (hearing) tested. Our breeding stock is DNA tested.

Home environment

My Kennel is situated on a bush block with large paddocks for the adults to be exercised. The pups have a purpose built whelping room where the dam can feel safe and comfortable and the pups are secure and warm. We use a heated whelping box and thermal lamps if required in cooler times. As the pups grow they have…

Additional Tests

Dimadal Kennels Dalmatians conducts 4 additional tests available for the Dalmatian.

dna iconGenetic Test

Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is a dangerous inflammatory lung condition. A genetic cause has been found in Dalmatians, which can be tested for with a blood test.

stethoscope iconPhysical Test

These breeders have had x-rays taken on their breeding dogs to assess the quality of their elbow joints. Dogs with very low ‘elbow scores’ are less likely to develop elbow problems in the future and less likely to pass hereditary elbow problems on to their puppies.

dna iconGenetic Test

Globoid Cell Leukodystrophy (GCL) is a genetic lysosomal storage disorder that causes neurological problems. It can affect several breeds including Cairn Terriers. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Hyperuricosuria (HUU) is a genetic disease that causes a build-up of uric acid in the urine, predisposing to painful bladder and kidney stones. It can occur in a range of breeds. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder

A little about us

I have owned, trained, shown and loved Dalmatians for 45 yrs. I started showing Dalmatians in 1978 in partnership with my Mother, Mae Nolan. We enjoyed living with, showing and breeding Dalmatians and I also have my Group 7, Non-Sporting Judges Licence. In 1999 we added Boston Terriers to our kennel. I still…

Why we got involved in breeding

I love these dogs and enjoy showing and working with them so the next step was to work at breeding quality pups, hoping some would be good show dogs and all would make great companions.

Our special touch

I pride myself on recognising quality animals, rearing healthy, happy pups and building a good rapport with my animals and their owners.
