Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
We live on a beautiful farm in Gippsland and have a huge variety of animals. Our puppies are kept indoors in a dedicated whelping/animal room. They get to interact with all of our dogs who live in a home environment. Our dogs are not kept outside in dog runs and are very much a part of our family. We also have…
Health
We have just completed our DNA testing to ensure that our dogs are clear of any hereditary health diseases. Our dogs are all on a varied diet which includes a variety of raw food as well as premium Royal Canin dry food. I have a comprehensive spreadsheet to keep track of all of the dogs heat cycles, litter dates,…
Home environment
Our puppies and adults are kept indoors in a dedicated whelping/animal room and in our house. We even have an ICU Humidicrib if required for puppies that need special care. Our puppies are raised in proper whelping boxes and we use "Vetbed" vet bedding as recommended by vets. We are also conscious of the environment…
Included with our puppies
Owners will receive the vaccination card, the microchip transfer form (we pre-pay for the transfer), a puppy care guide and we are working on ideas to collaborate with a company to make us puppy packs.

Additional Tests

Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.
Genetic Test
Sarcoglycan Deficient Muscular Dystrophy (SDMD) is a genetic disease causing a stiff gait, exercise intolerance and difficulty swallowing in young Miniature Dachshunds. There is now a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I am a registered breeder on a beautiful farm in Lang Lang Victoria. I have many years of experience breeding horses, goats and other animals. My dogs are part of my family and live inside with me, with no expense spared.
Our special touch
We live on a beautiful farm with Pygmy goats, Spanish horses, miniature donkeys and our beautiful dogs. We volunteer at aged care facilities and take our animals to those, as well as having groups of people here with special needs. Our pups are extremely well socialised due to this, and used to many different types…
