Health Tests
Core Tests(0/1)
Fencho Border Terriers conducts 0 out of 1 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Border Terrier.
Additional Tests
Fencho Border Terriers conducts 2 additional tests available for the Border Terrier.
Physical Test
An eye certificate means the breeder has had their breeding dogs examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist, to confirm they are not affected by any eye conditions which may be passed down genetically to their puppies. If relevant for the breed, it also includes running DNA tests to confirm the dog is not a genetic carrier of hereditary eye diseases, such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). It includes breeders who have participated in the Australian Canine Eye Scheme (ACES).
Genetic Test
Spongiform Leukoencephalomyelopathy (SLEM) is a genetic disease affecting Border Terriers. It is a neurodegenerative disease that causes poor coordination and seizures. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I adore border terriers. Apart from sleeping on my couch after a busy morning each day, my border's take part in dog sports like scent work, earth dog and lure racing. We also do obedience training and conformation showing. I work with dogs as a career, so my borders lead a pretty amazing life.
Why we got involved in breeding
I fell in love with the breed when I worked in the UK after finishing school.
Our special touch
As I work from home and in a career with dogs.... my borders are given a wonderful start in life. Like many fellow breeder's of the little brown dog, I am super passionate.
