dna iconGenetic Test

Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB) is a congenital skin disease that causes fragile skin, blisters, ulceration, and skin scarring. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

dna iconGenetic Test

This is a serious genetic skin disease that causes flaky dry skin and footpad problems. It can occur in many breeds but is fairly common in Golden Retrievers. There is a DNA test to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease and could pass it on to their puppies.

dna iconGenetic Test

Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

dna iconGenetic Test

Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration of the retina and eventually, blindness. There are a variety of sub-types of PRA, which can occur in various breeds. There are various DNA tests available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Skeletal Dysplasia is an inherited form of dwarfism which causes the leg bones to grow much shorter than is proportional for the body. Affected legs will be short and slightly bowed outwards. Often the forelimbs are more affected than the hindlimbs, which can make the condition more difficult to spot in subtle cases. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

About the Breeder

A little about us

Hello I'm Caroline & Finesse Golden is my joy, passion and pride. We use proven curriculums to raise our puppies with a purpose of enriching lives. We are based in the Hunter Valley, NSW. We have almost 20-years breeding experience including breeding other breeds in the past.

Why we got involved in breeding

I have always had a strong love of dogs since I was a toddler, possibly because my parents owned a farm with a number of working dogs and pets of various breeds and sizes. If i wasn't to be found playing around the house my parents would often find me curled up in a kennel with one of my furry companions imitating…

Our special touch

I have almost 20-years breeding experience and use that experience along with other methods I have sought out ( being Puppy Culture & Badass breeder curriculums ) to bring about the best breeding & puppy raising program for Goldens as possible. We DNA test to make sure our breeding dogs won’t pass on certain…

Applying for a puppy

Apply for a puppy by answering a few questions so Caroline can get to know you.
A$4,490 - A$4,890

Please note- We will now be requesting a reservation fee if your application has been approved, this will mean in turn you will be offered a puppy. We need to do this as unfortunately we have had in the past a multitude of applications on our waiting list and then once we offer a puppy to those on the list we either get no response or they have found a puppy elsewhere, which leads to the issue of us then not having the homes we thought we had for our precious puppies and as we are a responsible breeder that is a concern as we are doing our best to only breed to demand of serious buyers. So if you like our ethics and truly have given everything careful consideration and decided a Finesse Golden Retriever puppy is the one to become a part of your family we think you will understand our need to do this. The fee will go towards the total purchase cost of puppy. Included with your purchase- Free introductory pet health insurance, Quality puppy starter/ gift bag with Sample bag of puppy food, collar, pee pads, small brush, toys, poo bags, copies of (on request) health testing results of parent & grandparents, & copies of pedigree may be viewed. Information on care, feeding, raising puppy, training etc. Vet health check certificate, sale agreement & contract, rebates for puppy pre school & future desexing, ongoing support. Paperwork comes in a folder with your gift bag. We also offer special training for an extra fee Puppy & Owner training with John Gatt, he is an accomplished qualified professional dog trainer, behaviouralist & psychologist & has 45 yrs + training puppies & dogs for therapy & security etc please contact us if your interested for more information. PLEASE NOTE: A reservation fee is now requested to go on our waitlist which mean you will be offered a puppy at the appropriate time & that fee will be included towards payment for a selected puppy ( we will help you select a suitable puppy according to your family dynamics, lifestyle and needs) to be selected between 6-8 weeks of age after vet health checks, M'chip, Vacc, and possible breeders choice. Puppies price is reduced after the 8 week period at discretion of breeder.
