Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
We raise our puppies using the Breeders Bootcamp methods of early exposure, enrichment activities and sensory play. Our pups are raised alongside our other dogs, 2 cats and children. We ensure our little ones are exposed to a range of environmental and household sounds and situations from an early age to help with…
Health
Our Parent dogs are all DNA tested with Canine Health Check in the United States. Copies of DNA tests are always available to new puppy parents upon request. Your new little baby will come to you micro-chipped, vet checked, and being up to date with vaccinations, worming treatments etc appropriated for their age.
Home environment
Our pups are raised in our family home here in Toowoomba QLD. They are raised to be primarily indoor family members with all day access and exposure to the outdoors. Our pups are trained and encouraged to toilet outside.
Included with our puppies
Your new Forever Friend will come to you with a puppy pack 'packed' full of goodies, including a bed blanket with the scents of mum and siblings. We will get you started with sample packs of the food and treats your puppy has been eating with us, enrichment and play toys, as well as a comprehensive 'manual' with all…

Genetic Test

There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

Why we got involved in breeding
I fell in love with Miniature Dachshunds quite by accident when I inherited my mum's puppy, Henry. Although my family has always shared our lives with dogs, there was something truly special about him that completely captured my heart. Having bred other breeds in the past, Henry inspired me to focus on Miniature…
