Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
They receive access to the outside world all day running in the yard, in the garden and playing. They can see and hear cars, general noises and visitors are fairly regular which they love to interact with. Even other dogs which have visited on occasion they get to sniff and play with.
Health
All puppies undergo ENS (early neurological stimulation) which has been proven to give better immune systems and abilities to cope with stressors. All pups are wormed fortnightly, flea and tick treatment applied and vet checked prior to vaccination and microchipping. The sire of these puppies has undergone hip and…
Home environment
The puppies are raised in a heated room so they are safe and warm in their whelping box. Once old enough they transition to a kennel run and shed, housed on shavings to keep them warm and non-slip. Their daytime routine when old enough is full access to the yard every day. The playpen is used for when they go to bed…
Included with our puppies
All puppies are sent home with nexgard spectra (or equivalent) to control any worms, fleas or ticks for their new home. The information pack is vet-written so the content is a fantastic source of information. It includes transitioning to their new home, socialisation, feeding, nutrition, grooming, health issues of…
Health Tests
Core Tests(1/3)
Groodles Of Love conducts 1 out of 3 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Groodle.
PRA
Genetic Test

Additional Tests
Groodles Of Love conducts 3 additional tests available for the Groodle.
Genetic Test
Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Neonatal Encephalopathy (NE) is a brain disease that can occur in Standard Poodle puppies. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

About the Breeder
A little about us
We are a family of 3 with a mixture of animals (Pepper, our elderly female dog , a cat called Simon and our horses) on our small farm.
Why we got involved in breeding
I fell in love with my standard poodle and her personality. I also love the temperament of golden retrievers. Once I found out what groodles were we realised they can be a great combination of dogs. I believe good temperaments make good dogs and this is what we strive for
Our special touch
We acknowledge that the first few weeks of life are so important which is why we conduct early neurological stimulation on our pups. This helps their ability to deal with problem solving, situations and makes for a more happier, inquisitive and interactive puppy.
