We are a small, ethical breeding family located in the beautiful Lockyer Valley, Queensland. I'm a veterinarian and together with my 2 young daughters we raise healthy, well socialised happy puppies.

Our Breeding Practices

Behaviour and socialisation

Puppies will undergo stimulation training from an early age, to help expose the pups to new sounds​,​ sensations​,​ textures​,​ and experiences. They are raised in a family environment and my children help with handling and getting the puppies used to family life.

Health

Being a vet myself, our dogs and their litters will always receive full veterinary attention. All puppies will be wormed, vaccinated, and microchipped before heading to their new homes. Our adult dogs are DNA tested to screen for genetic conditions.

The puppies are all raised at our family home and are socialised with our other animals​,​ children and adults

Dogs affected by patellar luxation have loose kneecaps that may pop in and out of the knee joint, which can be painful and even require surgery. Having a vet examine breeding dogs for patellar luxation can confirm the dog is not affected, and that their puppies are less likely to develop the condition. Patellar luxation is more common in smaller breeds.

Skeletal Dysplasia is an inherited form of dwarfism which causes the leg bones to grow much shorter than is proportional for the body. Affected legs will be short and slightly bowed outwards. Often the forelimbs are more affected than the hindlimbs, which can make the condition more difficult to spot in subtle cases. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.

A little about us

Hi, my name is Sarah, I've been a vet for almost 10 years and have been breeding oodles for 3 years. Together with my 2 young daughters, we strive to raise healthy well rounded puppies that have both gorgeous temperaments and looks!

Why we got involved in breeding

I love the breed labradoodle, they are the perfect mix of having energy to run and play but also lay around for cuddles.

Our special touch

Being a vet, all of our puppies recieve full veterinary care from the day they are concieved, until the day they leave us.
