Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
We have a large family of 5 kids that interact and play with the pups. They also socialise with cats and our other dogs helping get used to all the normal sounds of a busy family household.
Health
We health test our breeding dogs and the pups are vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed. They are fed on a premium diet of Royal Canin for Giant breeds.
Home environment
We live on acreage and the property is securely fenced so the pups can explore safely. During the day they spend lots of time outside but at night, they are indoors. Outdoor enrichment is puppy play gyms, a shell puppy swimming pool, ball pits and toys on rotation so they have lots of opportunity to be active and…
Included with our puppies

About the Breeder
A little about us
Homerdane is a small kennel where we breed only occasionally - Black and Fawn. I have been involved with Great Danes for over 20 years.
Why we got involved in breeding
I got involved in Great Danes over 20 years ago, and have been showing them for about 15 years. We got involved in Great Danes because they are not simply dogs. They are gentle giants. They are family.
Our special touch
Our dogs are a huge part of our family. We take great pride in ensuring our dogs are healthy, sound and of good temperament. We don't breed often, but when we do we plan and take great care in ensuring it's done right, so the results are quality lifetime companions with fantastic temperaments.
