Icanhaz Swedish Vallhunds
Gold Coast, QLD
Hi, I'm Alexandra P.
Owning a vallhund was a long held dream of mine, so once I was in a position to do so, I started my hunt. I acquired my first Vallhund, Arche, from Maroki Kennels in New Zealand. Arche has been an absolutely amazing ambassador for the breed. I honestly could not have asked for a better bitch. A well-rounded, social,…

Physical Test
An eye certificate means the breeder has had their breeding dogs examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist, to confirm they are not affected by any eye conditions which may be passed down genetically to their puppies. If relevant for the breed, it also includes running DNA tests to confirm the dog is not a genetic carrier of hereditary eye diseases, such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). It includes breeders who have participated in the Australian Canine Eye Scheme (ACES).
Genetic Test
Hyperuricosuria (HUU) is a genetic disease that causes a build-up of uric acid in the urine, predisposing to painful bladder and kidney stones. It can occur in a range of breeds. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I started my breeding journey with dog rescue. From there, I built relationships with ethical breeders and began handling dogs at shows. Through collaboration with breeders in New Zealand, I imported my first show dog. I have since expanded with other imported dogs and we have had many successes in the show ring,…
Why we got involved in breeding
I am involved with a fairly rare breed, so my goal is breed preservation, with a focus on health and temperament. We are proud to raise happy, healthy, well balanced puppies who are much loved family members.
Our special touch
Our pups are raised in the home following Puppy Culture protocols. They're exposed to cats, children and other dogs, we begin the basics of toilet training, clicker training, and crate training before they go to their new homes.
