Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are socialised comprehensively at home with us, their litter mates and other dogs. We have grandkids, so they will often visit to play and socialise with all the puppies. Pups are also desensitised to different household noises, they experience different textures like carpet, wooden floorboards, tile,…
Health
All our breeding dogs are DNA tested, and all of our puppies will be vet-checked, microchipped, receive their first vaccinations, will receive up-to-date worming and come with all the relevant health documentation and reports. Puppies are fed Royal Canin.
Home environment
They are raised in the family home surrounded by multiple generations of family and dogs with the run of the house, plenty of open and wide spaces outside (for when they are a little older) as well as obstacles and play pens setup for their discovery and enlightenment - such as: little cubby spaces, wooden ramps,…

There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder
A little about us
Hi! We're Eric and Deborah, and we run Kotiaho Cocker Spaniels, based in the Lockyer Valley region of QLD. We began breeding in 2019 under the mentorship of Okuri Cocker Spaniels and Golden Retrievers because of our desire to breed Cockers to the breed standard, and to breed well-adjusted dogs with excellent…
Why we got involved in breeding
We love the Cocker Spaniel breed and our niece is an experienced breeder, so we decided we wanted to also breed Cocker Spaniels for those wanting a smart and well-adjusted dog with lots of personality.
Our special touch
All of our dogs, right to our pups are our family. We raise them in the family home, our grandkids help raise and socialise them and we are invested in seeing all of our puppies matched with the right owner.
