dna iconGenetic Test

Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.

Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder

A little about us

We are committed to producing the healthiest, best natured, true to type Cocker Spaniels that we can. We are devoted to our dogs and give them the best life possible at home on our farm and on days out at the beach. Our dogs are MDBA registered and are from titled imported bloodlines.

Why we got involved in breeding

We have always lived and worked on our properties and dogs and all farm animals were a huge part of our lives.

Our special touch

We believe providing the best natural health through diet and activities for our dogs and our puppies benefit from Early Neurological Training which we believe gives our puppies the best start for learning and coping with all that they will experience.
