Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Pups are brought up in the family home on a rural property, in a family environment. There are plenty of dogs and cats around for socialisation and excitement, and once vaccinated, our pups are socialised within the community. They get accustomed to indoor and outdoor noises such as: TV, music, vacuum, lawn mower and…
Health
Parents have been health checked and given the clear to breed, we check (if necessary) around any physical conditions such as patellar luxation or hip dysplasia. Pups are vet-checked and given the required vaccinations and worming. All pups are sold microchipped. To ensure quality and trust in our breeding process,…

About the Breeder
A little about us
Hi, We are Jacqui and Dave, and we are Malpac Kennels. We got involved in breeding Alaskan Malamutes in 1990s and recently since the mid-2000s, we’ve been breeding Shiba Inus, after falling in love with the breed with our first dog (dam): Kimi (CH Snowstars Malpaxkimi); then followed our sire CH Maharg Mitsutenryu,…
Why we got involved in breeding
We got into breeding, purely because of the love of the Alaskan Malamutes, and we also enjoyed showing them too. The same can be said about Shiba Inus, after we got our first puppy, we fell in love and knew we wanted to show them and breed them as well.
Our special touch
Malpac Kennels focuses on quality and temperament rather than quantity. We only breed occasionally, and we are selective about who we sell to. In deciding the right forever homes for our pups, we are compassionate and fair. To ensure you are also getting the best quality from our kennels, we always encourage all of…
