Hi, I'm Kim G.
We are an ethical and registered small family Groodle, Labradoodle, Bordoodle and Cavoodle breeder in port macquarie area, prev Central Coast of NSW. Our dogs are all DNA tested by Orivet and puppies are clear of all relevant genetic conditions and traits by parentage. Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
All our dogs and pups are cared for in our home and are well socialised with people, kids, other dogs and cats. They get handled multiple times a day from birth with lots of cuddles and hands on attentive care. They also see and meet lots of different people who pass by or come over to visit us - there’s lots of activity around them! They become accustomed to crates and we lay the foundations of toilet training using litter trays, pads…
We fully DNA profile our dogs and results are provided with all puppies if requested. Our pups are bread as pets only and they are clear of developing all relevant genetic conditions and traits by parentage. We regularly vet-check our dogs and puppies as well as vaccinate and worm them on schedule. All of our dogs are fed on premium food dry diets, as are our puppies. We also regularly groom and nail clip all our dogs and puppies.
Our family home is on 2.5 acres and is close to civilisation and the nearby town of Gosford. Our dogs live and sleep in our house and we have whelping areas set up in our laundry and/or bathroom. These are climate-controlled and contain whelping boxes for mum and pups, scales and comfy vet bed bedding, and they remain there under our watchful eye (and video monitoring) for at least the first 3 weeks of their development. After, our…

Misty Mountain Groodles conducts 1 out of 4 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Groodle.
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration…
Misty Mountain Groodles conducts 5 additional tests available for the Groodle.
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Neonatal Encephalopathy (NE) is a brain disease that can occur in Standard Poodle puppies. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.
About the breeder
A little about us
I’m Kim, a proud mum of 2 and clinical social worker of 25 years. I have worked previously as a veterinary nurse and now enjoy utilising my skills and experience in the care and education field to improve my ethical breeding program and mentor others. This platform is used by me to manage applications for my puppies. Not as a wait list per se. I sort the applications when I have a litter coming into those who are interested and then those people are put in order of their application and appropriateness for a pup. If you have special circumstances please let me know though.
Why we got involved in breeding
I fell in love firstly with the Groodle breed since owning our first girl Eadie. We extended our family to include a rescue purebred standard Poodle Charlie and naturally the two bonded. Combining my former veterinary nursing experience and lifetime ambition, I set up an ethical breeding practice, extending our furbaby family and passing this enjoyment and love of the breed onto others.
Our special touch
I recently became a certified trainer and in the process of developing a breeder education program alongside my work as an educator and supporting committee member for the AAPDB. (Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders).
