Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are whelped and raised in a dedicated facility adjoining our main kennels puppies hear and then see other dogs from the day they open their eyes. Our family and local community spend time with our puppies every day. As gun dogs
Health
All our litters are planned. We start by asking other breeders and breed experts (specialist breed judges) "Should we breed this dog" ?. If the answer is yes, then we look to complete DNA testing and Hip and Elbow testing. Only if the dog or bitch passes these rigorous tests do we add these dogs to our breed plan.
Home environment
Our dogs live with us. They have a dedicated doggy complex on our adjoining property. They spend time with us in our home (sleeping on beds) as well as on their own or exercising with all the other dogs. This makes for a well-rounded dog that can mix it with the best of them or be calm in our home.
Included with our puppies
We offer all the basics, meet the parents, meet the puppies, an information pack, and free training sessions before you go. ** We offer a lifetime support program for your puppy** Ask us about this to find out more.

Genetic Test
Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.
Genetic Test
Achromatopsia is a genetic eye disease that causes cone degeneration in the retina. This results in ‘day blindness’ and extreme sensitivity to light. The condition begins in puppies and gradually worsens as they get older.
Physical Test
These breeders have had x-rays taken on their breeding dogs to assess the quality of their elbow joints. Dogs with very low ‘elbow scores’ are less likely to develop elbow problems in the future and less likely to pass hereditary elbow problems on to their puppies.
Genetic Test
Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.

A little about us
I am passionate about responsible breeding. Our dogs are both very much part of our family and regularly break the rules and sleep in the house. They are also active working dogs, I very much enjoy working with and training them.
