Behaviour and socialisation

Our puppies get to meet a range of adults, children and other dogs. From an early age they are around other breeds of dogs and adults who visit our home and our puppies are transported to socialise with other dogs at their home as well. Our young children are involved in our breeding program under close supervision…

Health

We are proud of the high-quality, fresh diet we feed our dogs and puppies. We start to introduce solid foods to our puppies around 4 weeks old. They are exposed to a mostly raw-fed diet consisting mainly of mince, eggs, cen-oil, kibble and brisket bones.

For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

About the Breeder

A little about us

Small, family run Mini Dachshund breeders who take pride in researching and improving the breed, producing quality structured and well temperamented pups.

Why we got involved in breeding

I love the beautiful nature of our dogs and want to extend their beautiful genetics for generations to come.

Our special touch

We have our very own homegrown livestock, eggs and poultry that we feed our dogs along with carefully selected quality dog food. Living on a rural property, our dogs and pups alike have plenty of space to explore and be both mentally and physically stimulated.
