Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are raised within a busy household filled with other animals, regular visitors and the noise of daily life. Our puppies are handled each day from birth and once old enough, have access to an enriched outdoor space to play and investigate.
Health
All of our parents have full DNA screening with Orivet and care is taken to only breed with dogs of sound temperament. Our puppies are vaccinated, wormed fortnightly, microchipped and receive a thorough vet check before leaving for their new homes. All of our puppies leave us with 8 weeks' free pet insurance.
Home environment
Our puppies start their lives in a cosy whelping box inside with mum. Once they are old enough, they have access to a large outdoor space during the day filled with toys, sticks and a lovely puppy play gym to explore the world around them. This is when we start the process of toilet and crate training. Puppies have…
Included with our puppies
Puppies will leave for their new homes with 8 weeks' pet insurance, 4kg Royal Canin food and a blanket with smells from mum and litter mates. We provide a detailed pack with puppies “instructions” and provide lifetime support.

Genetic Test
This is a rare genetic disease affecting Cocker Spaniels. It can cause wobbliness and incoordination in the hindlimbs, with eventual progression to paralysis and difficulty breathing. It usually only affects older dogs and progression is slow over several years. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
