Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
We have puppy play dates are welcome for new puppy families. The puppies interact with & socialize with extended families & adult dogs, chickens, lambs & calves & farm cats.
Health
The puppies are raised inside. The parents are DNA profiled The puppies are raised on a premium diet Puppies are wormed at 2, 4,6 & 8 weeks of age Vaccinated & health checked at 6 weeks
Home environment
Raised inside until they are 6 weeks old in an dedicated fully equipped nursery fitted out with heating & cooling & appropriate lighting. Once the puppies have been vaccinated they are transitioned to a fully equipped puppy enclosure with cooling & heating & lots of play equipment & enrichment activities & get to…

This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

Raine Syndrome, or Canine Dental Hypomineralisation, is a genetic disorder found in Border Collies, that causes their teeth to wear down abnormally fast. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (TNS) is a genetic disease affecting Border Collies. It results in the dog’s white blood cells not being released from the bone marrow properly, meaning they cannot fight off infections.
