Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. About the Breeder

A little about us

I began breeding after finding my first Chocolate Labrador Darcie. She became a therapy dog and had such an amazing capacity to assist trauma survivors that I decided she would be a perfect candidate for breeding. Her daughter was Frankie and again, a beautiful, cheeky nature and so gentle with little people. I have…

Why we got involved in breeding

I had always wanted a Labrador. My first purchase was a cross Golden Retriever and Kelpie and she looked like a black Lab when she was a puppy. Her temperament and helping capacity prompted me to purchase a pure Labrador and I have continued to build a team of Labrador therapy dogs and breeding females.

Our special touch

I work with my pups from birth. From 3 days of age, I start Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction, moving to sound desensitisation at 21 days; toilet training and obstacle/surface introduction starts at 6-7 weeks. All aspects combined helps to create a resilient, confident puppy that is…
