Our Breeding Practices

Behaviour and socialisation

Socialisation begins from a young age to give each puppy the best possible start in life. By the time they’re ready to go to their new homes, most pups have already begun toilet training and have been introduced to basic life skills, setting them up for a smooth transition and continued success with their new families.

Health

The health and well-being of our puppies is our top priority. That’s why we feed them high-quality, nutritious food and ensure that all worming treatments and veterinary care are kept completely up to date.

Home environment

Our puppies are raised in our home, surrounded by family from day one. Everyone in the household plays a role in their care—from cleaning and feeding to playing and socialising—so the puppies grow up confident and comfortable around different people. They’re given plenty of toys and enrichment, and are regularly…

Included with our puppies

Each puppy goes home with 6 months of complimentary pet insurance, a puppy pack, and a starter supply of the food they’ve been raised on. They are vet-checked, microchipped, and up to date with worming, so they’re ready to begin their new lives with confidence. We also offer lifetime support to all our puppy…

dna iconGenetic Test

Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.

dna iconGenetic Test

This is a rare genetic disease affecting Cocker Spaniels. It can cause wobbliness and incoordination in the hindlimbs, with eventual progression to paralysis and difficulty breathing. It usually only affects older dogs and progression is slow over several years. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

dna iconGenetic Test

Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

About the Breeder

A little about us

I’m a knowledgeable and dedicated breeder with over 10 years of experience, and above all, a true animal lover. My dogs and puppies are my world—you’ll often find me out in the yard spending time with them, or curled up on the lounge with one (or more!) by my side. Even at social gatherings, I’m usually the one…

Why we got involved in breeding

I got involved in breeding because of my deep love for all animals, big and small. They’ve always been a central part of my life—and truly, animals are my everything. Breeding allows me to share that love by raising happy, healthy puppies who are ready to become cherished members of their new families.

Our special touch

I like to think of myself as a bit of an animal whisperer. I bring a sense of calm and nurturing energy to every animal I meet, and they naturally feel safe, understood, and connected in my presence. This quiet bond allows me to help each puppy grow into the best version of themselves—confident, balanced, and ready…
