Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Peninsula Poodles are raised with Puppy Culture. The protocols include socialising and challenging the pups from a young age so they become used to different social situations, motions and sounds/noises. By challenging and stimulating pups in healthy and small doses, there is a positive impact on a dog's ability to…
Health
Our aim is to breed conformationally correct, healthy poodles, that make wonderful family pets. Parents are both DNA tested and healthy and only need to visit our vet for routine pregnancy testing. Puppies are: - Weighed twice daily for the first week and then daily until week three, then weekly. - Vet checked at…
Home environment
We are based on the Bellarine Peninsula, about 80 minutes from Melbourne or 15 minutes from Geelong in Victoria. We're a small breeder, so the puppies grow up in the family home (which is securely fenced), in the spare bedroom which is now our whelping room. I sleep beside them for the first four weeks and at around…

About the Breeder
A little about us
I’ve owned poodles for over twenty years, I can't imagine a day without having a poodle in my house. I love being able to provide a beautiful, confident, well socialised puppy to new families.
Why we got involved in breeding
When my mini poodle was 17, I started searching for a new poodle puppy, as I knew Poppy wouldn't like being alone. My friend and breed Mentor, suggested I breed Poppy, she is correct in conformation, healthy and has a wonderful temperament. Poppy had a litter of six and I kept her daughter Lulu.
Our special touch
I follow the Puppy Culture method of raising and socialising puppies, they come home to you well socialised and already toileting on their mat !
