Pups ready to go home now

Hi, I'm Robyn D.

Hi, I'm Robyn from Pomfire Pomeranians! I have only been in the world of Pomeranians for a few years, but have been an experienced breeder of Beagles for over 20 years, under the Bimberi prefix. My mission is to breed exceptionally healthy dogs - always as pets first, but also for the show ring to promote the breed…

Our Breeding Practices

Behaviour and socialisation

The first step is always choosing the correct parents, and checking their temperament before mating. I also start Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) training at three days old, and this continues right through their development. They are constantly socialised - raised in a household of people (and one cat!), but…

Health

I conduct all the relevant health testing for my breed - all of my dogs have been genetically tested and have had a full breed analysis through Orivet. All of my dogs are checked at least annually at the vet, with all the most vulnerable points examined (eyes, ears, etc.). Diet is also extremely important - I ensure…

Home environment

My pups are raised indoors for the first two weeks, and are monitored 24/7 - by my family, not by a camera! - to ensure mum and pups are safe and healthy. Pomeranian babies are very delicate, so they need constant monitoring and attention. From 4-5 weeks, they start to get used to an outside environment. They are…

Before the pups leave, new owners are given an electronic booklet with all the details they're going to need, including emergency info, feeding, training, daily maintenance, and how to puppy-proof their home. On the day they leave, the dogs will have a familiar-smelling blanket and toys (to help them adjust to their…

About the Breeder

A little about us

I'm Robyn from Pomfire Pomeranians! I've been breeding dogs for over 20 years - starting with beagles, now into Pomeranians for quite a few year. I've wanted to breed Pomeranians for a long time, but wanted to have the time to do it properly (their coat uptake is a lot more intensive than a beagle!). I've been…

Why we got involved in breeding

I've always loved animals. As a child, we had animals everywhere, and we entered into showing because we wanted to help preserve the breeds, and maintain them as they should be for their original purpose. We are a preservation breeder, and this is something we are really passionate about.

Our special touch

I believe that training can be more about the people than the dog! We want to be there for all our owners, and stay in contact with every buyer to help them on their journey. We try to have an annual catch-up with our extended puppy family, with a puppy picnic at our house for all those who are able to attend. If…
