Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
My puppies are all well socialised. They are handled constantly by myself and my Grandchildren. Plenty of noise around the area where they are housed.
Health
All my breeding dogs are DNA tested through Orivet and all clear of any genetic diseases. Male Poodle dad is also Hip and Elbow scored with great results.
Home environment
We are on a small acreage property on the Murray River. Our Dog shed is especially built with floor heating in the whelping area and air conditioner throughout.
Included with our puppies
Puppies come with an extensive Puppy Pack of Veterinary Card, 3 page Care Sheet, comfort blanket, collar and lead and soft toy. Feeding information.

Genetic Test
Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Congenital eye malformations in Golden Retrievers result from a mutation of the SIX6 gene. These malformations can present as a range of different eye conditions, ranging from poor vision to blindness in one or both eyes. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying the affected gene.
Genetic Test
Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB) is a congenital skin disease that causes fragile skin, blisters, ulceration, and skin scarring. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
GM2 gangliosidosis is a lysosomal storage disorder that causes neurological problems. There are a few different types of this disease affecting different breeds. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
This is a serious genetic skin disease that causes flaky dry skin and footpad problems. It can occur in many breeds but is fairly common in Golden Retrievers. There is a DNA test to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease and could pass it on to their puppies.
Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Neonatal Encephalopathy (NE) is a brain disease that can occur in Standard Poodle puppies. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteochondrodysplasias are a group of rare genetic diseases that cause problems with connective tissue, cartilage, or bone development. They commonly cause dwarfism and movement disorders. There is a DNA test available in some breeds to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.
Genetic Test
Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.

About the Breeder
A little about us
All our dogs are DNA tested through ORIVET and are clear of any Genetic diseases. My male red standard Poodle is also Hip and Elbow scored with a great result.
Why we got involved in breeding
I got involved with breeding because of my love for Groodles, such intelligent, affectionate, loving dogs with beautiful soft, silky coats and the non shedding is so great
Our special touch
My husband and I are both involved in the caring for our beautiful dogs. We live on the Murray River on a few acres of land so the dogs are very spoilt on our property.
