Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
We are dog trainers and groomers, with experience training assistance dogs and sporting dogs as well. As such, we raise our puppies to be as well-rounded as possible, based on the latest science and our own experience. Our pups undergo ENS and ESI, and are exposed to sounds/surfaces/smells/and other problem…
Health
All of our dogs undergo DNA disease screening and hip and elbow scoring. We also temperament assess our breeding dogs.
Home environment
Our puppies are raised both indoor and outdoor, depending on their age and the weather. They are fed high quality food and always provided with a clean, safe space to sleep and play.
Included with our puppies
We provide a puppy pack including food, toys, scented blanket, and discount vouchers. We also provide lots of helpful info and lifetime support for our puppy families.

Additional Tests
Rozellya Cocker Spaniels conducts 5 additional tests available for the Cocker Spaniel.
Genetic Test
Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.
Genetic Test
Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Physical Test
These breeders have had x-rays taken on their breeding dogs to assess the quality of their elbow joints. Dogs with very low ‘elbow scores’ are less likely to develop elbow problems in the future and less likely to pass hereditary elbow problems on to their puppies.
Genetic Test
Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
