We ensure ALL our Cockers are health tested , DNA etc to ensure the health and longevity of everything we breed. Each puppy has a FULL DNA done at 6…

Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are born in the midst of our family home. We encourage potential families to visit regularly until they finally go home with them. Our babies are socialised daily. With our huge family, there is never a shortage of someone to be interacting. Our babies are socialised with our cats too, all our babies…
Health
When I rarely breed , I ensure mum gets the optimum diet from day 1 of gestation. I believe that one can't expect puppies to be sound if not given this advantage from the VERY beginning. Commonly, cocker babies weigh about 250grams at birth, our babies are always around 350 or more grams at birth. Of course…
Home environment
Our babies are inside babies, interacting with family 24/7. Some may describe them as time wasters but we just love watching their personalities develop and the progress in general. Of course time outside is important regularly to develop good toilet habits.
Included with our puppies
Our babies come registered with Dogs Queensland. If not previously agreed as a show dog then will be on the limited register. This means no breeding or showing. We microchip, give 1st vaccination and do a FULL DNA on each pup

Genetic Test
Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.
Genetic Test
This is a rare genetic disease affecting Cocker Spaniels. It can cause wobbliness and incoordination in the hindlimbs, with eventual progression to paralysis and difficulty breathing. It usually only affects older dogs and progression is slow over several years. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I have exhibitored dogs for over 50 years. During this time I have been fortunate to have a few breeds rhat I have had great success with. A new marriage and move to a new state saw me change to the beautiful English Cocker Spaniel. By far the most lovable breed.
Why we got involved in breeding
My philosophy for breeding is ALWAYS to improve the breed. Study of pedigrees, discussions with breeders more experienced than myself is a crucial part of my program.
Our special touch
I love that feeling of finding the right family for ALL my babies. I keep in touch, I puppy sit if it fits in with my family. I ensure every puppy is raised with as much handling filled with love.
