Behaviour and socialisation

Our puppies are raised in a home environment and are regularly exposed to adults, children, household activities and other dogs. Early socialisation and positive experiences help build confident, adaptable puppies that transition smoothly into their new homes.

Health

The health and wellbeing of our dogs is a priority within our program. All breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health testing and genetic screening relevant to the breed. Before leaving for their new homes, puppies are vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and thoroughly vet checked to ensure they are healthy and ready…

Home environment

Our dogs and puppies are raised in a spacious, safe and enriching home environment. Puppies are brought up indoors and gradually introduced to different sounds, surfaces, rooms and outdoor spaces as they grow, helping to build confidence and resilience.

dna iconGenetic Test

Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.

dna iconGenetic Test

Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

dna iconGenetic Test

Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
