Our Breeding Practices

Behaviour and socialisation

All puppies are raised within our family home and as they grow and develop are supported in their play and interactions with adults and children and their environment to develop their communication skills and emotional resilience and stability.

Health

Parents undergo Orivet DNA testing to ensure puppies are free of hereditary diseases associated with the breed. Parents and puppies are fed a well-balanced diet. They are fully vet checked.

Home environment

The puppies are raised inside our family home where they become familiar with our social family environment. The puppies also have a large pen within our lounge where they can rest, eat and play with have access to a shady yard with grass and garden.

When ready for their homes the puppies will be fully vet-checked, microchipped with vaccination booklet. New owners will be able to see regular updates of their puppies as they grow. Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

Congenital Macrothrombocytopenia (CM) is a mild disease which normally does not have any impact on an affected dog’s health or lifespan but can cause concern if noticed on routine bloodwork without knowing the cause. I became involved in breeding due to my passion for animals and the joy and companionship a cavoodle can bring to an individual and a family. For the love of the breed.

Our special touch

Our breeding mothers are cherished members of our family and live in our family home. The environment includes both adults and children fostering the health growth of beautiful puppies with wonderful temperaments.
