Behaviour and socialisation

Puppies get exposed to a variety of noises and environments. Health

Both parents are health checked at our local vet and we get a comprehensive DNA test for genetic conditions and whether the parents are carriers. Puppies are checked, vaccinated and microchipped by the vet with a health certificate provided. We do our own worming for the puppies every fortnight (2 weeks).

Home environment

Puppies are raised inside my home with access to a backyard through a doggie door. The puppies have their own playpen and the run of the house. They sleep inside the house with us. Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
