Hi, I'm Liz M.

Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are raised in our home, they see our other dogs on a daily basis. They are part of day to day life in the family home. They have access to indoor and outdoor pens. We have trusted visitors through when we have litters as well as pre qualified puppy homes. We offer plenty of variety in toys and games…
Health
Our breeding dogs are all DNA tested for the diseases we are able to. I stay in touch with all our puppies over the years and keep notice of any health issues that show a pattern over time and look at genetic influences if any.
Home environment
In the family home, access to outdoors when old enough. They are included in our day to day life from birth till they leave for their new homes.
Included with our puppies
Contract of sale, desexing refund, starter pack of food, microchip and Dogs SA transfer, first vaccination, next worm treatment, lead and collar, toy, lots of puppy starter notes and advice, lifetime support for the pup and family.
Health Tests
Core Tests(0/1)
Tahrae Italian Greyhounds conducts 0 out of 1 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Italian Greyhound.
Additional Tests
Tahrae Italian Greyhounds conducts 3 additional tests available for the Italian Greyhound.
Genetic Test
Amelogenesis Imperfecta (AI), also known as Familial Enamel Hypoplasia (FEH), is a genetic disease causing the abnormal development of tooth enamel. Affected dogs will have small, widely spaced teeth with brown discolouration and a strange texture. Whilst this is not a life-threatening condition the teeth can be painful.
Genetic Test
Primary Closed Angle Glaucoma (PCAG) is a genetic cause of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye). Untreated glaucoma can result in eye pain and blindness. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this genetic cause of glaucoma.
Genetic Test
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration of the retina and eventually, blindness. There are a variety of sub-types of PRA, which can occur in various breeds. There are various DNA tests available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
