Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Socialisation begins with the gentle handling of the puppies within their first several weeks of life. T Dachshunds believe this is imperative in the development of a confident, friendly dog. This also helps the puppy gain confidence in approaching new people. Having positive experiences with other animals and people…
Health
We DNA test all our dogs, ensuring they are clear from all genetic testable diseases. Our puppies are fed grain free kibble as well as raw. Our puppies are wormed fortnightly starting from 2 weeks of age and will be microchipped and vaccinated.
Home environment
The puppies are brought up on 25 acres of land, where there is plenty of room to explore. We have other dogs ranging in sizes and cats which help them gain confidence when approaching other animals and/or people. Our dogs are raised inside our home and are kept inside of a night time either in crates or beds. We have…
Included with our puppies
The puppies will leave for their forever home with their own personal puppy pack to help guide their transition. The puppy pack will include the following: - A sample of the puppy kibble that they are fed - A food bowl - A toy and bed with litter mates' scent - Collar and lead - Wormer and flea tablet - Puppy pads…

Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

About the Breeder
A little about us
Growing up with dachshunds from a young age, I developed a deep love and appreciation for the breed early on. My first dachshund was a constant companion and the bond we shared left an ever-lasting impression on me. As I grew older, I became increasingly fascinated by the unique traits, personalities, and health…
Why we got involved in breeding
My love for these dogs grew stronger and stronger, the more I learned about the breed. As my love grew, I decided that I wanted to share the love and happiness that these dogs provide to others. I am also very passionate about further continuing and developing the breed, placing emphasis on eradicating…
Our special touch
I've closely studied the breed, gaining immense knowledge and understanding regarding genetics and behavioural traits/habits. I work from home, which allows me to give my full attention to the dogs and provide the best environment for them.
