Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are raised in a loving family environment and receive extensive socialisation from an early age. They spend their first three weeks safely indoors before moving to a larger outdoor area where they can explore, play, and develop confidence. Living on a rural acreage provides them with a variety of everyday…
Health
The health and wellbeing of our dogs and puppies are a top priority. All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive DNA profiling and breed-specific health testing to help ensure we are producing healthy, sound puppies. This includes testing for conditions such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) and Familial…
Home environment
Our dogs are cherished members of the family and enjoy an active, enriched lifestyle. During the warmer months, they spend much of their time in spacious outdoor kennels equipped with a fan and splash pool to help keep them comfortable, while a heated lamp provide extra warmth during the cooler winter months. If they…

Genetic Test
Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.
Genetic Test
This is a rare genetic disease affecting Cocker Spaniels. It can cause wobbliness and incoordination in the hindlimbs, with eventual progression to paralysis and difficulty breathing. It usually only affects older dogs and progression is slow over several years. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
