Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are lovingly raised in our family home where they are part of everyday life from the very beginning. We introduce them to a variety of gentle sensory enrichment activities to support their early development and confidence. They are exposed to household sounds, outdoor environments, adults, children and…
Health
Our puppies will all have had their first vaccination, microchip, and are wormed every 2 weeks before coming home with you. All our puppies will have passed their health check at the vet before coming home with you. Any health or behaviour concerns will be explained to you in writing. We are proud of the high quality…
Home environment
Our puppies are born and raised in our family home, where they are part of everyday life from the very beginning. Our dogs live indoors with us as cherished family members. Puppies are whelped inside in a calm, safe space and gradually introduced to household routines, outdoor play and age-appropriate enrichment to…

Health Tests
Core Tests(1/1)
Toptier Corgis conducts 1 out of 1 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Corgi (Pembroke Welsh).
PRA
Genetic Test
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration…

Additional Tests
Toptier Corgis conducts 3 additional tests available for the Corgi (Pembroke Welsh).
Genetic Test
This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I’m a registered, ethical breeder based on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, breeding under the TOPTIER prefix. I’ve been breeding since 2017 and focus on raising well-balanced, healthy puppies that thrive in family homes. My dogs are first and foremost loved members of my home. Puppies are raised indoors in a…
Why we got involved in breeding
I fell in love with the incredible temperament and loyalty of my dogs and wanted to preserve those qualities in a responsible, ethical way. Breeding, for me, isn’t just about producing puppies — it’s about improving the breed, raising confident and well-socialised companions, and carefully matching puppies to the…
Our special touch
Under my TOPTIER prefix, I breed for quality, not quantity. Since beginning in 2017, every litter has been carefully planned with a strong focus on health, temperament and correct structure — never just numbers. My puppies are raised in a hands-on home environment with early neurological stimulation, daily handling…
