Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
I use Puppy Culture protocols in raising my puppies providing them with plenty of stimulation, interaction opportunities and enrichment. Puppies will socialise around older dogs of different breeds and will be taken with me into the local nursing home, where they are handled and the local community including…
Health
DNA testing for known hereditary issues is an integral part of breeding in our kennel. All puppies I sell have a full DNA profile supplied to new owners, as well as being vaccinated and wormed. Our dogs are also hip and elbow scored and fed a diet of premium Royal Canin.
Home environment
Based in a farmhouse in Gippsland VIC with chickens, sheep in the paddock and lots of activity going on, we have many designated areas set up for our puppies and dogs. This includes a purpose-built extension to the house and a bungalow set up with spacious whelping areas with puppy pens, a bed, TV, air conditioning…
Included with our puppies
My puppies are supplied with an extensive puppy pack which includes their scented blanket, toys, a bowl, collar and lead, treats, puppy food, waste bags, 6-8 week pet insurance, copies of parent DNA, information booklet and pedigree papers. Pricing is dependent on costs, currently pups are $4000.

Genetic Test
Hereditary Cataracts (HC) is a genetic form of cataracts. There is a DNA test available in some breeds to indicated whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Hyperuricosuria (HUU) is a genetic disease that causes a build-up of uric acid in the urine, predisposing to painful bladder and kidney stones. It can occur in a range of breeds. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Renal cystadenocarcinoma and nodular dermatofibrosis (RCND), is a genetic condition which causes masses in the kidneys and skin that become cancerous. About the Breeder
A little about us
I’m Jen, an experienced Dogs VIC registered Breeder and President of two kennel clubs. I actively show in VIC and NSW and also assist Orivet Genetic Pet Care in collecting DNA.
Why we got involved in breeding
I always wanted a German Shepherd and when I got a puppy through a reputable breeder, I absolutely fell in love with the breed. I then acquired a second (an ex police dog) through a friend and my pack began to grow from there. I have enjoyed Showing the breed over the years and have won many championship titles…
Our special touch
I aim to breed for great temperament and best health. It is not just the look of the dog, it is the breeding behind it and the traits from the parents. The selection of my foundation bitches ensures that I have sound mother lines, and I use the most suitable stud dogs to improve health status, phenotype and genotype…
