Hi, I'm Julie B.

Welcome to UniqueChows! We have owned, shown and loved chows since 2015. We treat them as our family members, and I occasionally have baby Chow Chows available for sale. I specialise in Cream, Blue, Fawn and Red Chows.

Our Breeding Practices

Behaviour and socialisation

All my pups are socialised with our family and friends, who are always calling in. I also have four adult dogs, so once the pups are 5-6 weeks old, I allow them to start playing with the older dogs to learn from them. I also will invite potential owners who are interested in getting a puppy to come and meet the pups…

Health

All our pups are raised well and treated as part of the family. Their parents are all hip and elbow scored, and I put a focus on ensuring the right temperament for the parent dogs (particularly the fathers). All the pups will of course leave for their new homes wormed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Home environment

Our pups are all born and raised inside. They are whelped in the front lounge room, just across the hall from the bedroom so I can hear everything and be there if needed! We start taking them outside 5-6 weeks - so they can start learning to toilet outside, and so they can explore the grassy backyard - but they will…

All new owners will receive an information pack containing owner essentials (pedigree information, and health info on vaccinations, feeding and worming) as well as information on the Chows (grooming instructions, breed history etc.). They will also receive Chow Club memberships for their state, as well as a puppy…

Why we got involved in breeding

My son babysat a Chow while he was overseas, and came back to Australia got his first Chow, and I fell in love with it and decided to get one of my own. I met as many Chow people from Victoria (where I used to live), and was able to bring Honey (our foundation girl) into our family in 2015. I waited a while to make…

Our special touch

Chows run in our family! Both my son and I are Chow breeders, and in love with this beautiful breed!
