Home environment

Our parent dogs Lulu and Monty enjoy the freedom to roam our property at anytime. Their puppies started life in a whelping box with heated mats, and as they grow are enjoying more freedoms in different controlled areas. Once they are able to move independently they will then have more playtime in the garden.

Canine Elliptocytosis is a rare genetic disease causing the red blood cells to be abnormally elliptical in shape, rather than round. It generally does not cause a clinical problem to affected dogs, but puppies may be mildly anaemic and smaller than others. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

dna iconGenetic Test

Congenital eye malformations in Golden Retrievers result from a mutation of the SIX6 gene. These malformations can present as a range of different eye conditions, ranging from poor vision to blindness in one or both eyes. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying the affected gene.

About the Breeder

A little about us

I have always had dogs in my life, even growing up, but had never had the opportunity or time to breed my own. We bought our first 'oodle' mix 16 years ago, before the trend began to own a poodle mix and he was a gorgeous, loving addition to the family. Our kids spent all their free time with him but as he started…

Why we got involved in breeding

I wouldn't call myself a breeder as this maybe a first and last litter from our beautiful two dogs. The timing was right this year to put every effort into making sure we did it correctly and safely with them and what a success it has been. Once we have decided to finish the breeding process Monty and Lulu will go…

Our special touch

Our dogs are loved and are very much part of the family and every day life. They swim with us in the pool or at the beach in summer, snuggle up with us on the couch or on the bed in winter or just chill on the deck on a balmy Brisbane evening. Our pets are not caged or put in crates at night, they are free to roam…
