Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
The pups are very well socialised with our many grandchildren, and are therefore used to being around children. They are handled constantly, and grow up in a household environment, so are very used to normal household noises. They also begin their toilet training prior to leaving as well.
Health
Our Cocker Spaniel parents are DNA tested for genetic diseases by Orivet. All pups will come wormed, microchipped, and with a vet check, as well as 6 weeks pet insurance.
Home environment
The pups are raised on a suburban property, starting inside in a whelping box with air conditioning and heat lamps. As they get older, they have access to a big backyard which is fenced off, as well as play pens for stimulating enrichment activities.
Included with our puppies
- Puppy Pack - Vaccination Passport - Microchipped (prepaid) - ANKC - Limited Register - Invitation to join our Facebook Owner's Group

Genetic Test
Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS) is a genetic disease that causes affected dogs to compulsively lick, overgroom and bite their paws. This can cause recurrent injuries and infections. The condition can be extreme and even result in the dog being euthanised if the signs cannot be controlled.
Genetic Test
This is a rare genetic disease affecting Cocker Spaniels. It can cause wobbliness and incoordination in the hindlimbs, with eventual progression to paralysis and difficulty breathing. It usually only affects older dogs and progression is slow over several years. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by abnormally large platelets in low numbers, meaning an affected animal cannot form clots properly after tissue damage. It can lead to life-threatening bleeding issues following surgery or injury. There is a DNA test available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) is a genetic condition mainly affecting Retrievers and Spaniels. It results in the dog collapsing after periods of intense exercise, even if they are normally able to cope with lower levels of exercise. There is a DNA test available which can indicate if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.
Genetic Test
Canine Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Deficiency is a genetic disease resulting in low levels of the PFK enzyme. It can result in extreme muscle fatigue, muscle cramping and severe anaemia. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

Why we got involved in breeding
Breeding is a family tradition for us, with generations involved in breeding and showing dogs. We remain engaged because we believe we are custodians of the breeds we love, with a responsibility to safeguard their health, soundness and temperament for generations to come. Our dogs are family — our hearts on a lead.
Our special touch
Our puppies are raised as part of our family and grow up in a busy home environment alongside children. They are exposed to everyday sights, sounds and handling from an early age, helping them develop into confident, well-adjusted companions.
