Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
My puppies are socialised from an early age, with children and adults of all ages. I pride myself on the great natures of my puppies, and have had many positive comments returned to me. The puppies are encouraged to play and be outgoing, and are able to fit into their new homes with the least possible disruption…
Health
All our breeding stock are DNA tested. I use premium Royal Canin for their diet. Puppies are all microchipped, wormed and vaccinated.
Home environment
Our puppies are raised indoors until 4 weeks of age. The introduced to the outside if weather good. They are introduced to noises of normal living . They are introduced to people of all ages and stages. We pride ourselves with our temperament.
Included with our puppies
I provide a complete book of instructions relating to care and training requirements alongside regular email updates and ongoing assistance if required. I provide toys and some food and all puppies are microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Genetic Test
This is a rare genetic disease affecting Cocker Spaniels. It can cause wobbliness and incoordination in the hindlimbs, with eventual progression to paralysis and difficulty breathing. It usually only affects older dogs and progression is slow over several years. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

A little about us
I'm Lorraine, from Watersmeet Cockers! I work at the local hospital, as a nursing sister. I have a grown up family of three boys who have always had a great respect for our animals. My husband Geoff is a great offsider to all my showing and breeding.
Why we got involved in breeding
I have been showing for a number of years, starting in 1978 with German Shepherd Dogs. I was given my first English Cocker Spaniel by Mr George Forsyth, Jodug Im Starwars.
