Health

Whimsily puppies come home microchipped, vaccinated and wormed every 2-weeks from birth. They will also be provided with a BAER certificate to confirm they have bilaterally correct hearing.

Home environment

Our puppies enjoy an inside pen where they enjoy their 'downtime', sleep in their crates, and are exposed to the hustle-and-bustle of our home. Inherited deafness is common in specific breeds such as Dalmatians and Bull Terriers. Merle coat patterns and white coat colour can also be linked to deafness. It is recommended breeders of at-risk breeds or coat colours have the puppies checked with a Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER) test at around 6 weeks old, before they go to new homes.

Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.

A little about us

We're a very small hobby breeder based in the Yarra Valley VIC – our dogs are first and foremost pets and couch companions. We show semi-regularly and try to make it out to Setter specialities. We look forward to pursuing different dog sports in the coming years such as agility and scentwork.

Apply for a puppy by answering a few questions so Gemma can get to know you.

1. Submit an application via RightPaw 2. Chat on the phone or for locals, come visit us and our dogs. 3. Place an $800 deposit on the birth of the litter. 4. Come and visit the litter at 4 weeks and at 7 weeks. 5. Make complete payment on or on collection of your puppy at 8 weeks.
