Zeni Stud Miniature Dachshunds
Kardinya, WA
Hi, I'm Anna M.
We are a small breeder of dogs and horses located in the Kardinya WA. All of our dogs are our pets and live inside, go for daily walks and are well educated. We invest a lot of time into the puppies so they are handled well, used to indoor and outdoor environments and crate trained. The constant feedback is…

Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
My children have a large involvement with their upbringing, which enables them to be cuddled (sometimes non-stop) but robust with humans and other animals. Inside, they get use to vacuum cleaners, children yelling, TV etc. They walk away pretty confident.
Health
We are an holistic family and enjoy living off the land. Our animals are the same and we try to stay away from all processed foods and medications. I try to delay worming and vaccinations as long as possible to ensure their immune system is not compromised, but they still have what is needed to enter the greater…
Home environment
Our puppies are raised in the house for the first 3 weeks, where they are kept in comfort with mum. As they start to move around, they are located in the playroom which extends out to their own personal run to play in. They are crate trained at night, so by the time they are ready for their new homes they are…
Included with our puppies
We provide everyone with a puppy pack, which includes a bed smelling of mum and siblings, small pack of food, collar, lead, information pack and certificate.

Additional Tests
Zeni Stud Miniature Dachshunds conducts 4 additional tests available for the Miniature Dachshund.
Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.
Genetic Test
Sarcoglycan Deficient Muscular Dystrophy (SDMD) is a genetic disease causing a stiff gait, exercise intolerance and difficulty swallowing in young Miniature Dachshunds. There is now a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

About the Breeder
A little about us
Hi, my name is Anna and I have two daughters whom I have breed horses and dogs for over 10 years. Over the past 5-10 years, they been very selective over the selection of quality dogs to breed with. Originally we breed Standard Poodles as we owned a farm in the Swan Valley and we had the space to keep large active…
Why we got involved in breeding
When you have a farm, you have lots of animals, it's just a way of live. With that breeding animals is a normal occurance - you don't choose to do it, it just is. You're taught the right way to care for animals from a young age.
Our special touch
We have experience in breeding and diligence in forward planning, meaning we strive to ensure we plan when our dogs breed and they do so at the right time and when they are at their healthiest. We spend a lot of time with our dogs, they are part of the family and we socialise them in our everyday family life (which…
