As long as I can remember, I’ve had a fondness for working dogs, spending my childhood training border collies, German shepherds and cattle dogs. For 15 years, Lappies have had such an amazing impact on my life and I hope to bring this same joy and love to many others in the future. Our prefix 'Ehana' is a play on two words. The first is the Finnish word 'ihana' which means wonderful/marvelous/lovely/beautiful/adorable/fantastic...all descriptors which I feel encapsulate and completely epitomise Finnish Lapphunds. The second is the Hawaiian word 'ohana', which means family, and that's exactly what I want all of our owners to feel a part of. So for me, Ehana is the culmination of an almost magical and enchanting kind of love, that I hope opens the door to an enduring friendship.
