Hello, I'm Joanne A.
I have owned 6 Akita's, for some 30 years + now, ( Queen Rachel, Maxx, Madam Kira, Miss Anika, Mater Shiro & Yoro). My current three JAPANESE Akita's are the centre of my world and always by my side xox. Both the ANKC standards for the the two distinctive breed standards, ( Gp 6), outline that they do have an innate trait in being such an extremely loyal breed, ( they just want to be with you), they can be stubborn if allowed, must not be allowed off-lead at a park, and will only bark to alert their owners. They are a breed for owners who either have a sound understanding of their natural intelligent traits, or those whom have studied the breed, and are aware of the situations of imperious importance.
